Kleroterion - allotment machine for selecting jurors for jury service.  The pinakia were inserted
in the slots and depending on whether a white or black ball emerged, that row did service.
These stood outside all courts. Pinakia -  bronze allotment plate - each citizen eligible for jury service had one of these Ostraka for the ostracism of Thermistocles - 482 BC Voting discs for jurors - hollow for guilty, solid for not guilty Sue, Lizzie, Natalie, J, Rowan, Stuart, Jenni and Edna
